Hi,

I recently had a scare when I thought I may have colon cancer (blood in stool). I had a huge panic attack but after the colonoscopy, everything was o.k.

However, right around this time, I started to experience twitching and tingling in my feet and hands. I got anxious once again and went through the whole ALS/MS cycle. EMG was normal.

After this, my twitches have subsided but now I am experiencing muscle pain (especially my left leg) and random shooting pains that occur throughout my body. This has been going on for the last 2 months.

I'm wondering if this is my body's reaction to anxiety or if it is Fibromyalgia?

Should I go ahead and see a Rhumatologist. My parents think I am crazy by going to so many docters.

I'm 23/Male.

Sorry to hear you are having so many problems...I can relate on the "people think were crazy" like a WONDERFUL doctor told me once...it is no one's business...even our families....guess I have gotton pretty tired of people saying to me that I had all my problems because of stress...I never knew stress caused fevers....and many many other things that were gong on with me...like loss the use of my arms and legs at one point...hmmmm....

Anyway...the thing with the feet and hands could be vertabrea pressing on nerves...not enough circulation...having some kind of bacteria in you....all kinds of things....

I might suggest that you keep a daily log for a few months...and see exactly what all is going on...see if new symptoms come up or if the old ones go away at times....and go from there....

I can't say if it is all in your head..you only know that...but sounds as though you do need to find the problem ...and it is tough....stay strong and keep fighting....
:D
