View Full Version : Thinking about getting TRT but worried about side effects..

Hi!
I'm 25 and I have low testosterone levels. I'm depressive,skinny and weak.
I also heard low T levels are linked to cancer, osteoporosis, dementia and early heart attacks. This means that simply accepting my low T levels would be pretty dumb. I usually have levels around 300ng/dl. My dad is over 60 and he has as much T as me....
My libido is also very low. But there are also things which concern me. Even though I have low Testosterone and my DHT levels are also pretty low I have a slightly receding hairline + I am pretty hairy. Especially my legs are totally hair and my butt is also hairy which really really annoys me. :(
In the last weeks and months I have also gotten some hair on my shoulders and the chest. What concerns me is this: Could getting testosterone replacement therapy make me become even harier or will it only cause those hairs which I would have gotten anyway (like I said I'm getting new hair on the shoulders, arms and chest) to appear faster? What do you think? Is it possible that my butt for example becomes even harier than it already is?

And what are the chances of getting acne or other skin problems from a replacement therapy? Do you think I should simply go for it? One the one hand I don't feel good the way I am now and the side effects of low T also scare me but at the same time I am worried of side effects from having more testosterone. I just don't know what to do.

The only bad side effect I had was more body hair.

There are many good effects such as more energy, sex, alertness, clear thinking, muscle mass, & general well being.

Your "T" levels should be in the upper 1/4 of the range at your age.

I do Testosterone Cyp self injections of 100mg per week with 27ga X 1/2" needle in the upper thigh. No pain.

Was your pituitory checked? Something may be wrong there.

Hi!
I had an LH/RH test and my pituitary reacted to it. But the LH went up 1500% after 30 minutes. This was a very strong reaction. I don't know if this is normal.

Here are the results:

LH 0min mU/ml 1.25 (start)
LH 30min mU/ml 18.5 (after 30 minutes)

18.5 : 1.25= 14,8

FSH 0min mU/ml 4.70 (start)
FSH 30min mU/ml 7.67 (after 30 minutes)

7.67 : 4.7= 1,6

LH increased nearly 15 times. FSH increased only 1,6 times.

You said you got more body hair. Did you get a lot more hair? And do you now still get new hair?
