I am about to turn 21 and up until a few years ago never had any medical problems. Then I noticed that I would get winded easier than I used to. I went for a physical last year and the doctor found I had an irregular heartbeat. Apparantly the top half of my heart is beating faster than the bottom, which would explain why it took me longer to catch my breath after sprinting. However, as the months have gone by, I've been having some tightness in my chest. It didn't really hurt, it was just an annoyance. Recently though, without performing any physical activity, I've noticed my heart would start beating harder, but not faster. I become very aware of my heartbeat. Then I would get some minor tightness in my chest. Is this something I should see a specialist about, or is my regular doctor fine.
Another aspect to this is it's making me physically sick. I had only experienced the chest pains when I was playing sports or occasionally when I was performing extreme activities (I am a volunteer firefighter). Now that it's been happing without physical activity, I've started feeling very nervous/anxious about it. This in turn is putting my stomach into knots and I feel nauseos and don't want to eat. Is this normal?
