hi,
i was just diagnosed with an active Epstein Barr infection. i have had a mild concerned feeling about my tonsils for a few years now, they are always enlarged and it's a bit red back there frequently. i also get tonsil stones.
since my ebv reactivated (i was told several years ago it was in my system but inactive) i have had neck and armpit pain almost daily. i have been sick for over a year now, my symptoms were not severe enough to effect blood chemistry, i am on many immune enhancing supplements and nobody thought to test me for it and i had forgotten i had it.
so my question is, does lymphoma show an elevated sed rate or high white cell count in the blood? or does it need an xray or biopsy to show up?
my birth control has put me in a menopausal state and i am subclinically hypothyroid, so i have many overlapping symptoms. i am not sure if i should ask for a neck xray to be sure or not, because i read that chronic ebv sufferers have a higher risk of developing lymphoma.
does anyone have any thoughts on this?
thanks
