I have a problem with my skin and really hope that someone has some good tips for me, Here lately after I wash my face and right before I apply make up, my skin looks very dry and flakey after applying make up by the time I get finished getting ready, (styling hair and etc.) my skin is very oily and shiny and stays that way all day long no matter what I do I can't get rid of the oil untill I go to wash my face again and then I get really dry, This is getting very annoying and any info would be a great help!!

What do you use to wash your face and do you apply a moisturising cream after washing it?

Your face is dry and flaky because the cleasner is so harsh that it is stripping your skin of all it's oils, (hence the shine). That is also why your face is uber oily. It must over compensate for the stripping, so your oil glands are over producing oil. You should be using a GENTLE oil free, water based cleanser and moisturizer. I bet you aren't using any moisturizer are you? Another reason your skin is producing so much oil. Your skin will balance itself out if you stop assulting it with that cleanser and give it a little water based moisturizer.
Good luck.
Good luck.

^^I agree!! I would recommend using Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer if you aren't using one. It has salicylic acid that can help with shine and clear up any breakouts while giving you some light moisture. It helps keep my skin looking fresh. I used the shine minimizing moisturizer by Clean & Clear and didn't notice a difference.. I liked the Dual Action better.
Also, I would suggest a cleanser that isn't too creamy for your skin that it makes it feel too oily, but something gentle enough to not dry it out. I've been using a foaming cleaner but mixing it with water to make it not as strong. If I use a cream cleanser I feel like it doesn't clean the oil off my face and it feels like there is a layer of stuff on it from the cleanser. Just make sure you don't overwash it or it'll get more oily.
During the day to soak up oil, Clean & Clear oil absorbing sheets are great! They soak up the oil without removing your makeup. On me they work MUCH better than blotting papers. Another tip is to be careful with acne medication if you use any. I was using Zapzit for a while and would accidentally use TOO much of it. Instead of just putting it on one pimple I would put it over an entire problem area. Before I knew it, my skin was getting oilier and breaking out even more since it was drying out my skin too much.
Good luck! Let us know if you find out anything else good that works for you! These ideas have really helped my skin get less oily, but I still break out occasionally and want to try to fix that more. OH and Dr. Feel Good by Benefit is a great makeup primer that mattifies your skin while making it really soft!

I have used so many cleansers that it isn't funny from cetaphil to stuff from my dr. has gave me and everything in between, I use moisturizer every day as well as trying the blotting papers which I use three to four times a day, I am starting to think I have tried everything and nothing is really gonna work, even at one point my dr. told me he had let me try everything he could and still had no results and from what I have seen on web sites the medical area in this problem hasn't changed a whole lot since the last time I seen my doc.
Thanks for your help, I am gonna keep trying things untill I have found the right one. so I will stay in touch on this subject.

I was doing some research online and read a lot of good reviews on Skinmilk products has anyone tryed them and if so are they any good?
What would be good water based products to try? Thought I'd ask before I go on my search to find something. Thanks!

Have you tried a Macadamia cleanser and moisturiser?
It should balance sebum production in your skin, which is what I think your skin needs.
