My husband has a very musty odor coming from his penis, it isnt a fishy smell like a lot of men describe it but a musty odor (like a shirt thats hung in the closet to long). Hes circumsized and keeps the area fairly clean by using a baby wipe to clean it between showers but nothing seems to work. The smell is lightned after cleaning or using the shower but never fully goes away. Any suggestions on how he can kill this bad odor?

It might be gardnerella, the same bacteria which causes bacterial vaginosis in women. A trip to the urologist might help.

I never thought of that bc we have been together for four years and this has always been a problem... I didnt realise an infection like that would hang on for that long... :confused: I have will have to look that up.. Thanks for the tip!

The sweat in that area is a breeding bed for bacteria. He might try cutting the public hair back to about 1/4 inch. The hair absorbs the smell.

I have to wash the crease between the scrotum & the legs with alcohol to keep killing the bacteria. It burns the first few times.
