I know this may sound strange to some but my problem isnt with me being overweight but instead underweight. I am 15 (turning 16 in about 2 months) and weight only 95 pounds. I am around 5'0-5'1. Most girls my age are atleast 100-110. I eat alot thats why most people are confused. I eat so much but stay so skinny. I'd really like to gain some weight, so if you have any suggestions please let me know. Thank you.

i'm sorry that you think you are so underweight--but you're not the only girl your age like that. my friend is just like you. she is constantly eating and complaining about her looks. she weighs about 92lbs. i keep asking her how she does it--but she just groans and gobbles down more food. but the problem with eating all the time (no matter what your weight) is that its unhealthy. i think it can make you more at risk for heart disease and raise your cholesteral. maybe what you want is not so much to gain weight, but to tone your muscles and make your body curvy, strong, and most importantly healthy. besides--i hear muscle weighs more than fat. lol.
lotsa luv

have you seen a doctor about this? my sister has a friend who is extremely thin and who wants to gain weight...she just found at that she has something called chrone's disease...not to say that you have this, but there may be something behind it (i dont think it's too common)...also, if you haven't hit puberty yet, i wouldn't worry too much about it just yet...some people just don't begin to develop until later on in life (I didnt start getty "girly" curves until my junior year in high school when i finally got my period)...I am sorry that it's distressing for you, bu try and just be happy with who you are!

I think all you really need to do is work out, not to lose weight, but to build muscles. Also ask your doctor about some ways you can gain weight, to become even healthier. Good Luck.
