Recently, I have been getting a bunch of ingrown hairs from shaving my neck. On my neck now, I have about 12 places that ingrown hairs are, so my neck looks horrible. This is the worst it has ever been, but for the last few months it has not been that great.
Here is what I do to get the best shave with as few ingrown hairs as possible:
1. Use Aveeno, soy based shaving cream
2. Shave in the shower after washing my face.
3. Use a fresh blade, and change it often (I no longer use the really close shave razors as getting the hair too short will cause more ingrown hairs. I use a Gillette razor that you just buy blades for.
4. Shave only in the direction the hair grows.
5. I will shave over a spot once or twice, but no more.
6. After shaving, I will use Bump Patrol or after shave lotion to try to help with the hairs. I do not use this every time, but just when my ingrown hairs are bad.
7. I use tweezers to loosen and sometimes remove hair that is trapped.
My questions:
Can anyone think of something better that I can do?
Can anyone name a kind of after-shave lotion or something that I can put on after shaving?
Thanks
