Hi, first off I'd like to ask what vitamins and supplements everyone should generally take. Right now I have Omega 3, Vitamin B complex, and Calcium Magnesium. What are some more I should add?
I have really bad body acne and and acne scars... are there any vitamins I could take to help with this... especially the scarring?
What vitamins would you suggest for severe fatigue?
I need something to help my digestion, and help make my bathroom trips "regular"
Also... I'm 5'10 and I weigh 125lbs... and no matter how much I eat, I can't seem to gain weight. I think I need something to slow my metabolism, I don't know exactly. This may be related to the digestion problem, but is there anything to help gain weight? Thanks.

Hi Ya, your vitamin choice is pretty good.
I would add 2 more vitamins.
I would take Ester Vitamin C and a good anti oxidant vitamin.
I recommend Grape Seed or Acai Berry.
Vitacost has a good deal on the NSI Acai Berry.
Tons of health food stores sell Grape Seed.
For your body acne, if your body acne is really bad.
Their is no store product you can buy that will help.
You have to get an anti biotic.
The best anti biotic I found for body acne is Doxycycline.
You got to get this prescribed from a derm.
Doxycycline will control the oil your body is producing and clear your body of the acne.
The Doxy i get is 100 MG per capsule.
Take the Doxy before you go to sleep.
The Doxy costs 25 dollars for 30 capsules at a pharmacy with no insurance.
If you have insurance it will costs like 2 dollars.
Another good product to try along with the Doxy is the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub.
This has 2 percent Salicylic Acid, Aloe and Green Tea
Its good for body acne and red marks.
Its the best scrub i'v used for body acne.
Leave this on your body for like 1 minute then wash off.
For your scars on your back.
I would recommend a 20% to 25% Salicylic Acid or Glycolic chemical peel.
Since your body skin is alot thicker then your face skin.
Starting off at 20% should be ok.
You should definitely have a professional at a Derm do this procedure.
To gain weight, your gonna have to eat more and lift weights.
You could also try a weight gainer.
The chocolate flavored weight gainers taste alot better then the vanilla one's.

Take Zinc for acne. They usually say no more than 50mgs per day, but I've sometimes heard you can take up to 90mgs.
Also, Saw Palmetto, and Nettle Leaf. I took Saw Palmetto and 50 mgs of Zinc for about a year and my skin got way less oily and I no longer got acne on my face. You could instead take a Men's Prostrate formula supplement which usually contains those two and some other things.
Then I cut out most sugar and simple carbs and added Nettle leaf and completely cleared up for the first time since puberty.
Now days, I take beta sitosterol which is the component in Saw Palmetto that is beneficial and it's way more potent. I take that instead of saw palmetto and zinc, other than what is in my multi, since zinc supplements make me nauseous.
I'd advise you to check out the acne board, but they seem to only want to discuss prescription medication these days. But in the past there has been plenty of valuable discussion on diet and supplements. A lot of people have good luck taking B5, for example, but you have to take a lot of pills. And they are big pills. But you should do a search on the Aspirin mask. It is a miracle worker. You just dissolve a handful of plain aspirin in a little water and apply and let dry or use as a scrub. I use it as a scrub on my whole upper body. Also search the other supplements I mentioned. And candida and digestive cleanses. There are some lengthy discussions on those which is where I got the fiber and diet info.
Fiber supplements with meals will help as they will help process glucose and help prevent blood glucose spikes which cause inflammation as well as stimulate androgen production. I take them whenever I am going to have a simple carb meal like pasta.
Also, try to figure out if there is any food item that triggers acne. For me it's oranges and limes. I figured out years ago that oranges caused the horrible cystic acne I used to get all over. And limes seem to cause a reaction as well. Much milder though, so I was never able to figure it out until recently when my skin was otherwise clear. I was recently tested for allergies and discovered I am mildly allergic to oranges. So maybe you could get your allergies tested and try eliminating things one by one.
