im 37, a male, and im wondering what the best otc product is, and least expensive, to see real results to lighten the dark spots from age and sun, on my face. they sometimes get red after ive been in the sun. overall, though, what product is best to lighten dark spots. i see several companies selling the snail extract (celltone is one)- also, how about lumitone? can these really work and if so, on men? thanks a million!

Hi,
I don't know how effective it is, but have you tried a product called "fade away"? I know it is for lightening dark pigment like age spots etc.
Hope you find something that works

I can't help because I don't know anything about it but, you might go to one or two places that could provide an answer to your question. You might see a dermatologist or, you may even just be able to ask the pharmacist at your local drug or grocery store. One other place is one of those cosmetics counters at your local mall.
Sorry I couldn't be more help!
Take care!

Peter Thomas Roth has a product (several) but it is sort of expensive (lasts about 3-4 months depending), it does not use hydroquonine (the most common ingredient in skin lightening products), and the price varies from $50-$65., it is called a "skin brightening gel" - not usually on sale, maybe Amazon carries it, you can always search amazon for "skin lightening products" - there is some controversy over hydroquonine, but I have read extensively, and tried products, and hydroquonine is something I stay away from since there are newer alternatives (all natural arbutin, etc...). good luck.

This may sound beyoned belief, but it works. Its simple, easy, cheaper & worth trying. Every time before going to sleep, Rub the TOOTHPASTE, on the affected area of skin, and let that be there over night to wash in the morning.
Surely all the Dark Spots, Blotches,Patches, Stains & any other skin mark will gradually either fade away or gets completely cleared.
Good Luck & Do "Takecare"
