What is the best over the counter med for reflux. I do not get it ofter seems to come and go in spurts but it would be nice to have something on hand

I take Pepcid Ac; 40 mgs. am and 40 mgs. pm.

My wife takes Prilosec OTC -- 20mg once daily before breakfast.
It seem to work well.
I only take something like you as needed-- and it is also Prilosec OTC.

My husband also takes Prilosec OTC, 20 mg. in the morning. Works just as well as prescription meds for him.

Prilosec OTC is by and large the strongest OTC med. But you need to take it regularly for it to be effective. And it's still 2-4x lower than prescription strength.
