My 12 year old is overweight, and shows some physical signs of cushings disease, but took him to an endo, who says he has hyperinsulinemia, and fatty liver disease. This is all new to me, we know there is an underlying problem, the weight is not because of overeating/underactivity.
The rest of our family is not overweight. The endo also says he has metaboic syndrome X, or dysmetabolic syndrome. I am new to all of this, so any help is greatly appreciated. We have alot more tests coming up, including blood, 24 hour urine, and ultrasound. I am going to post the results, in the hopes someone will know WAY more than me!! Thanks!! PAM:)
