Hi everyone,

I am a lurker and fibro sufferer. Lately I've been experiencing a strange form of lightheadedness and dizyness (not vertigo). I just had an MRI yesterday and hoping no sign of problems. Wondering if anyone else has this type of symptom and have found that it's related to the fibro. The symptom is kinda like continuous feeling of standing up too fast without the eye "sparkles"(??). Make any sense??? Anywho, it has me worried crazy and just hoping at least it's just the fibro and not something more serious. Any ideas???

Thanks.

You have it too??? Have you had a lot of tests done too to try and figure what's causing it? Do you just assume it's the fibro? Has it ever gotten to a point where you pass out? That possibility scares me... I hope that won't happen... How long have you had this symptom and is it constant everyday or wax and wanes?? It's a horrible feeling and I find it hard to deal with. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone.

Erica,

Have you had your adrenal function tested? Sometimes symptoms such as the ones you mention are also a result of low blood pressure.

If you are pretty sure you don't have high blood pressure (hypertension) one thing to try is drinking a glass of cold water or cold juice with 1/8 th teaspoon of salt added. Sometimes a little salt is very helpful ... as long as it's not contraindicated for any other medical reason.

Best wishes.

I have this too. I've been crazy trying to figure out what's causing it. I also get a tingling sensation around me lips at the same time. I have an appt. w/ my Rheumatologist first thing Monday morning.
