I was hoping that some of you would have some suggestions for foods, snacks....recipes....etc. that would be safe for LPR.

I have been eating mostly baked chicken, chicken cold cuts on rye or whole wheat bread, apples, peas, cantelope or water melon, soy beans, apple sauce, tapioca pudding, pretzels, soup (NOT Tomato Soup), Salads (Lettuce, Red Pepper, Zuchinni)...

I'm looking for some suggestions that may have worked for some of you...Breads? Salad Dressings? Recipes? Fruits and Veggies? Snacks?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated...thanks

Things that are safe for me and I eat mostly:

oatmeal, most cereal, rye bread, tuna, chicken and turkey, little red meat occasionally, yogurt, rice (brown mostly), bagels, tomatoes, cottage cheese. That's pretty much what I eat unless I want to live dangerously.

What I don't eat or if do pay big time: tomato sauce, spicy or mexican food (darn),potatoes, most vegetables, (except green beans and corn, and tomatoes), pasta, whole grain bread, legumes or lentils, fruit juices, and most fruits (dried fruits ok), too many nuts, granola, hot dogs, canned soups and chili (OMG that's death). No alcohol. No sodas.

I can have coffee though, and some chocolate, so thankful my life isn't totally over.:p I also drink La Croix lightly carbonated water and hot tea or hot water. Cold water makes me gag.

I have posted a thread about which foods to avoid with GERD which is pretty much the same as LPR so here is the link to my thread. Hope it helps a little.

Thanks for the suggestions...keep em coming

Here's something I tried to replace coffee...it's called Teeccino...tastes something like coffee, and it brews like coffee...but it's made from roasted carob, barley, chicory root, dates, orange peel, almonds and figs (straight off the container). I found this at Weggman's Food Store.
