I've tried many products to help moisturise my feet but they always remain dry, recently I read on a different board to apply vaseline straight after showering and to put socks on straight away, or if going to bed cling film. Trust me this works!!

HKS------i have been doing this for years with my hands and feet. first i apply a good moisturizing cream then i put vaseline on top to lock the moisture in and then white socks on hands and feet. you would think they were a babies in the morning. the vaseline works like a dream.

yes i do. i look like a goof ball but it really works. as soon as it starts to get cold for the past few years my hands get so chapped. i find that the moisturizer first and the vaseling to lock it in works the best. white gloves or socks will do the trick. usually once everything is absorbed the socks fall off your hands anyway. let me know if it works for you.

Hi

I also am bothered by dry cracking heels and also dry cracked fingertips. I go through tons of bandaids in the winter, since I usually always have them on at least 4 of my fingertips all winter when they start cracking.

It starts up about now, when you turn on the furnace in the house. I guess the air is dry even though we have a humidifier. I have also used vaseline on my hands and feet with socks and gloves, but now you gave me another good idea... wrapping your hands and feet in plastic wrap.

Another idea would be to douse your hands and feet with vaseline before bedtime and then wear playtex disposable gloves on your hands to bed and wrap your feet in plastic wrap and put on a pair of socks and go to bed.

In the morining, you would feel like you had baby skin. Vaseline is the best and cheapest remedy for softening hands and feet, but I have to do it continually all winter to keep on top of the problem. Maybe drinking a gallon of water a day would help also!

Sharon:)
