I have neuropathy and developed foot drop. I now have permanent paralysis in my feet and legs. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any suggestion will be deeply appreciated.

Just have to ask this considering the dramatic type of symptoms you appear to have that are actually progressing?have you ever had an MRI with contrast done on your lumbar or the actual entire spine?this could be an actual spinal issue and it doesn't actually have to be a low back type,it can also be stemming from way up in the c spine area, trust me on that.this just doesn't sound like typical plain neuropathy or PN,it would appear that there could be much more to this that needs to be fully evaluated by a neurosurgeon.just wondering what testing you have actually had done?Marcia

Thank you for caring. I have had an MRI. I had biposies for nerve and muscles. As far as I know, they have given me all the tests available. My doctors are at UAB (University of Alabama) in Birmingham. I have been in therapy with one of the best therapist in Alabama. I have used anodyne. I have exhausted all my options. As the weather turns colder my feet and legs are cold and painful.
I appreciate you and the information. May God bless you.

Hello. I just posted a reply on the Foot PROBLEM board, under someone's message called "has anyone had FOOT DROP". IT is about my daughter and her having this problem.

She has lost her right foot, flapping started a year ago!! Had some back pain, and it went away mostly, with prednisone. Had she continued the P. she may have gotten better, but since it didn't tell us why she had this, she didn't want to take any more. Hindsight...
She is now pregnant and has been to reg. doctor, 1 ortho, 4 neuros, 1 neuro-surgeon, and had every procedure, MRI, CT, bloodwork they suggest. Including spinal tap, 2 EMGs. They can find no reason for it. She is 28 and is now pregnant, and we are so scared this condition is advancing, as she has symptoms in her left foot now.

All you can do is keep pushing, as you surely have to take are of your own self. Don't let them give up on you. We are still searching and praying for help for my daughter.
