View Full Version : What is the treatment for tendonitis of the foot?

In addition to the toe joint problem I have in my right foot, the tops of my feet hurt almost all the time when I am on them (not usually at rest). They also hurt if I am wearing tight sneakers. It is so painful when I first get up in the morning or after sitting for more than about half an hour, that I can hardly walk for a few minutes. I have been told its tendonitis and do have an appointment with a podiatrist in a few weeks for both issues. Does anyone know what the treatment for this usually is? I have had it for over a year if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Nancy

I had tendonitis earlier this year for the top of my foot and was told to ice and rest it. It cleared up after 6-8 weeks.

Thanks! Your post is encouraging because I was worried they may be talking something like surgery. The thing about this that has me concerned is that it has gone on for so long, about two years. I am not sure if some ice and rest will take care of a problem that has gone on for that long, but I sure hope and pray its that simple!
