i am 36 yo female with good health
for the past 9 or so months i get ectopic (skipped) beats nearly every night, usually when i am lying in bed reading (i lie on stomach ?postural issues)
in addition, every few weeks or more often i get sudden unexplained period of racing heart.
last week i had a holter for 24 hours, not heard yet re results. i know i had two skipped beats in that period, but no racing...of course THAT happened two days later!
i just saw a chiropracter for headaches and he said i have compression in the area of spine that controls nerve to heart and wondered if that may play a part?
anyway, i guess i just want some advice or reassurance as to where to go with this. i cant keep getting holter as there is huge waiting list and 99% likely wouldnt get it on a night it races...the other night it was an episode that woke me and lasted 5-10 mins..the last part probably driven by increasing anxiety
i exercise for up to an hour on exercycle and never have any symptoms then
thanks for any help

presson,
Lying on your stomach sounds like a good way to compress the abdomen and the aorta. THat might be responsible.
(I am the opposite; my mangled lower back precluces EVER lying on my stomach. Not a problem except for the fact that my TAN is always completely uneven :D....white back syndrome.:) )
