I was just wondering if anyone has experienced frequent headaches or a stiff neck while on Nexium? I have been on nexium for about 3 years now and I had things under control until recently my reflux has come back worse then ever! My Doctor has me taking Nexium twice a day now and I have noticed an increase in headaches and a stiff neck. Could it be the Nexium?

I have that too. I took Nexium 40mg twice a day. It didn't work..... My whole chest is very stiff and tight. I didn't know Nexium can cause it. I thought was other drugs causing it.

I was on Nexium for a brief period of time and couldn't handle the side effects - headaches, stomach pain and chest pains. I also tried Zantac which caused headaches. I find the headaches more debilitating than the LPR (for now), so I'm off everything for now. I might try Prevacid.

I didn't know it caused chest pain as well. My cardio sent me to have a stress test. They thought was my heart causing the trouble! How do I tell all these are due to Nexium's side effect?

Nexium gave me chest pains and palpitations. Tried Zegerid, same thing, Now on Aciphex, fine the first week but second week, chest pain are coming back. Going to stop and see what happens. All these drugs have side effects.
