Hey all,
I am struggling with a serious receding gumline. I'm only 22 but the bottom three or four teeth in front... the gumline is seriously receding. One of the teeth there is the worst. I've taken a more proactive stance in cleaning my teeth, using a Waterpik, spinning toothbrush, mouthwash. I've never taken excellent care of my teeth and now I'm paying for it. I also take Calcium+ D supplements and high quality multivitamins from GNC. I heard somewhere that folic acid deficiency could affect gumline too. I think the biggest factor here is that I'm breastfeeding my baby and I've heard that for some reason pregnancy and breastfeeding take a huge toll on your teeth. Since I've been pregnant/breastfeeding is when these problems actually began.
Nothing really seems to be improving the receding gumline and we can't afford to go to the dentist.
It is getting to where I am really worried about this and could permanantly damage my teeth. There are also grey spots on some of my teeth and I know they're cavities. :( But the cavities seem to not be worsening now just the gumline. This totally sucks I wish I could go see a dentist!
Any advice for a bad receding gumline? I recently stopped using flouride toothpaste after it got really bad... does anyone know a better brand of flouride free toothpaste?
Thanks for listening....
