ok so.... i have a heart disease thats genetic and ive had to have my pulminary valve replaced(about 10 years ago) and i dont know if i can get tattoos or facial piercings... im wondering just HOW risky it would be to get a lip ring ... im getting tattoos even if it kills me ... but piercings im willing to give up...

Shala... well you know this will put you at a risk for infection for a couple weeks, especially being in your lip. I am assuming you have been told about prophylactic antibiotics before you have procedures done (called bacterial endocarditis prophylaxsis) so I would definetly recommend you get the dose of antibiotic before you do this and since you probably have to call a physician to get this dose ordered i would just ask them. I am sure your cardiologist wouldnt mind you calling and asking that question, that is what they are there for.
