I have experienced bone loss in my jaw (possibly due to taking foxamax?) and my dental implants are in jeopardy. Any suggestions on how to build bone in the jaw? I am taking calcium+D plus taking bio-identical hormones. I have also posted this question in the osteoporosis section. Thanks.

I have bone loss in my jaws also but I thought Foxamax was supposed to help rebuild bone. I have not been able to take anything that will help. Good luck!

I recently had my implants removed due to ongoing bone loss - supposedly bone grafts can save them but the thought of more surgery that may or may not work did not appeal to me and I was tired of the constant worry about it all. What's really ironic is that I got talked into implants 15 yrs ago b/c they said it would stop the bone loss that was caused by infected teeth and gums - LOL!
