so i had been off percocets for 6 months, had a job, and wasnt even realy craving them anymore.....then i got laid off. after a few days at home with nothing to do i had called the doctor and got a script for 30, with 5 refils. well i sucked those down in about 2 weeks, and finished them of yesterday. i dont have the numbers to any of my old drug contacts, and the doc certainly wont give me anymore, so im okay there. also i just got a new/better job today, which is coming with a drug test at the end of the week. i know they dont stay in your system that long, so i should be ok there as well. i didnt get any enjoyment out of the drug this time....i use to swalow 12 in a handfull and feel great, this time they just made me puke and mostly feel worse, so im actually kinda glad for that! hopefully ill remember that next time i want one......anyway, after 24 hours i actually still feel fine. last time i was withdrawing from a year or more of use, so im assuming it wont be that bad? anyone who knows what to expect there, please share. also i have a few xanax and klonopin to take if things were to get bad, i hate the sleepy feeling so no danger of getting hooked on those, and i understand they arent checked for in a pre-employment drug screen. so i know im done with this thing now, i just wanted to know what to expect, if anything from the withdrawls of this short term binge! too be honest i probably puked most of it out! haha let me know what yall think, and/or anything i could do to make this easier on myself if it gets bad....do you even think itll get bad? thanks soooo much.

sounds to me that you're not facing some major life issues and that your focus is only on getting "Clean."

There is a difference between Sober and clean and a Sober person has a program to live by for any difficult/overwelming times (these can be good,) by going to NA you could learn a lot about yourself and find out why you are so foucused on drugs. Maybe you are a binge user, I can't label you for sure it's not my place, but remember addiction is a progresive illness, always getting worse never better.

Best wishes with this new job.

It is not going to get bad. You will probably just have mild w/d. No biggie. Be careful with those xanax because some drug tests to test for them. those stay in your system for a while. drink lots of water...water...water.

Thanks Jessy, I realize that now. I dont know why but i was under the impression they didnt test for those! I took 1 1mg klonopin Monday morning, and I just have to complete the test by 7:00pm on Thursday, so I hope I'll be okay. Im definitly not going to take anymore!!!! Do you enough about this stuff to know if it will be detectable then? I hadnt taken any previously. I have switched to valerian root to try and sleep soundly, and thats good advice for any of you on here who are having sleep trouble during withdrawls. It wont get you 8 solid hours, or help you "sleep the withdrawls away" like a benzo might, but its definintly one of the safer/smarter options. Also thanks for the encouragment Jessy, as you probably know, just hearing someone say "it wont be that bad," makes it infinintly better! Im an old pro at this, so with the encouragment I should be able to get it through it without much trouble. Now I cant stop worrying about that one dang benzo I took! The fact that Im an "old pro" probably proves your point as well blasterboy. Each time I do something stupid like this though, I get smarter and closer to never doing it agian.....HOPEFULLY this will be the last time!

You're likely going to test for a benzo.Do you have a prescription for them.If you do then you're supposed to show the people that do the drug testing. If you don't have a prescription then you're screwed.Good luck....Dave:)

im guess if they test for them i probably will, but from what i understand a "regular" pre-employment test doest list benzo's as one of the things it looks for...opiates, coke, thc, amphetamines.....and something else ive never messed with is all that are generally checked, although they can check for anything they want im sure. im just watering myself down and trying not to worry about it since there aint much i can do! its funny every site you look at on the internet has a diffrent detection time, ive seen from 1 day to 3 months, haha. most of those sites are trying to sell something though, so im not gonna out much stock in any of it.

Klonopin has a half life of 50 hours, but I'm not sure if that means it clears the system in 50 hours????
