This is my first time posting here. I post over at the thyroid disorders board. I have hypothyroidsm and am being treated with thyroid replacement.
When I am just walking around my head feels a bit fainty, and I start getting a headache. Stop to check bloodpressure and it is 140 over a bit under the 100 mark. After laying down and resting, my bloodpressure is normal around 120 over 80.
Not sure if anyone here is familiar with thyroid disorders. Is it normal for the bottom number to rise too?
Thank you, I am a 53 year old female.

Of course it's perfectly normal for your blood pressure to be high during physical activity but it should go back to the normal range when you relax for 10 minutes. If you have a doubt please take your blood pressure at home. I think that taking the blood pressure reading at home is better than anything else even the doctor's office. But only if you know how to take a correct reading.
