Hi!
Anyone here have pain/numbness/stiffness in the sacrum (tailbone) area? I find that I can go for a two-mile walk in the afternoon, but if I try to go in the morning, it just stiffens up and I can barely make it through.
Then the hip pain/stiffness also starts (esp. at the hip joint). Argh!! Can anyone relate?

welcome cutiepie,
yea, i can relate. gives new meaning to being a pain in the, well you know. walk it out. do not give in to it. i made that mistake 11 years ago and ended up in a wheelchair. activity is vital to keeping it all lubricated. walk when it works for you and don't when it does not.
my right hip joint and i have long conversations too. you get used to it. what can i say. that is it in a nutshell. you get used to it. you adapt and find a way. i meditate alot and speak gentle kind words to my body when it hurts.
heat helps me the most. my new hot tub will be here soon. i do my exercises in the morning in hot water. seems to really loosen it all up. old bones, what can i say?
again welcome. hang tough and stay walking.
peace,

Yes, often there is, like, almost a soreness there.

yes i guess many of us can relay to that kind of hip joint/sacrum pain. It is however very important to check with the doctor whether there is any kind of inflammation in the sacroiliac joint in which case things change. Sacroiliitis could be an indication of a different kind of condition than fibromyalgia. X-rays, mri's and bone scans are made to determine that. I would check it out before blaming it on fibro. Good luck.
