For anyone who doesn't know, I suffered from bulimia for ten years, and have not b/p in two. However, I have almost constant throat pain, tightness, and difficulty swallowing. I do not choke, but it is hard for me to swallow.

Anyone else have this problem who is dealing with bulimia, or recovered?

Thanks.

Hi sunnygal!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif

I'm so sorry to hear about your stuggle with bulimia. 10 years is a long time! But congrats on not b/p in 2 years! THAT'S AMAZING!!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif GO YOU!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bouncing.gif

Unfortunatly, the long time you DID b/p could have caused serious damage to your throat (and other areas of your body) If you have not seen a Dr. you may want to. Like the others have said...this is serious.

As for me, I have not been bulmic for that long, but I am starting to have a painful throat, my voice is always scratchy...and I'm alway in pain. The horrible consequence of a bad decision that will effect my life forever... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif

good luck, let us know how you're doing!

NEVER GIVE UP

Hi sunnygal,
You need to see a Dr b/c you may have some damage. I was anorexic/bulimic for 5 yrs and have been recovered for about 5 yrs. I now have chronic acid reflux as a result of forced vomiting for so many years.

You're condition may or may not be serious, but regardless, if you get it treated you'll feel better.
