Hi, I am young and I have been a little worried about something. On my penis right below the head the color of the skin is very white.. not like a problem but like the opposite of a tan.. then about an inch down theres like a ring that starts the normal color, more tan. And it's a very noticable difference to. The first time I noticed it was like serveral months ago and the night before that day I was masturbating and something may have went wrong because I had a horrible pain kind of throb to my penis which woke me up in the middle of the night and which I remember was very painful, and when i woke up that day it was like that and i was scared and very concerned but havent mentioned it to anyone yet.. i thought it would go away or go back to normal but to this day its exactly the same. So I'm just wondering if this is normal, if that was the cause, if other people had it, etc. Any help will be great! Thanks in advance!

Could it be your circumcision scar? That shows as differences in pigmentation in the location you describe, and frequently a ring that on a white man appears more tan than the rest of his skin. It's perfectly normal. This is where your foreskin used to be attached.

i was circumsized at birth and as i said it just happened out of no where.. very strange.. after one night where i may have done something wrong when masterbating because it hurt really badly like a throbing pain which kept me up most of the night.. i have no idea how that could have made it so it had that.. i dont know how it could be from that because it goes down too far i think anyways.. thanks anyway.. maybe it does have something to do with that though.. once i get my next physical hopfully my doctor can tell me what it is...

actually i think that is it but i dont understand.. i looked for a few pictures and thats pretty much the same thing... would you happen to know why it hasnt showed for 14 years? since i was circumsized at birth? and did it have anything to do with that night i was talking about? thats confusing...

This might seem like a stupid question or one you don't like answering but if you recently (within the last month maybe) had an increase in size of your penis that could explain why you never noticed it all those years. With a recent change in size means more stretching of what was already present and you most likely never noticed it in the last month until the pain.

So with all the above said I think you have always had it but have never noticed it until now as you had no reason to think twice about it before. This applies regardless of any growth but with growth it could become more noticable.

hey, maybe that is the case mark.. wait.. are you saying that the scar (if thats what it is) was there the whole time? or it was "made" once i got to that size? lol i dont know how else to word it.. im thinking like as i said that it was totally normal without the scar until that one night that i was masturbating i think i made have ripped something or suttin like that in the inside that caused a scar... still confused lol

From what I understand is that when your a baby the docs actually guess how long they think you will be once you grow and just cut a specific amount but again its all guess work as its so small while being done. Sometimes they cut too much which results in a person to be a very small size for an adult if he doesn't grow as much as they expect. You would be amazed at how much can go wrong. So with that said the scar itself could be very small and hardly noticed but once you start growing the skin does start to stretch. Once it starts to stretch so does the scar and as such the scar would become either bigger or longer depending on how you grow. When men or boys get hard they either do so in one of two ways.

1. They go from very small to big (ie 2in to 6in for example).
2. They go from a soft size of 4in but only grow to 6" when they get hard.

So a person that is more like number 2 would notice it everyday most likely while a person like number 1 above would only notice when they get hard and only after they can "grow" to a bigger size.

So I'm assuming your a bigger grower (ie your number 1 above) and as such the scar is being stretched much more now and as such you can now see more of it even though its always been there just not seen nor noticed.

Your welcome and also it doesn't suck being the number 1 as about 85 or so percent of guys are this way. Your the norm not the exception and that is always a good thing.
