Hello to all

I woke up on may 1, 2006 and threw up 10 times. Later that day i went to the ER. I saw a doc and he took blood tests and a urine sample. Once they were done the doctor told me everything is find and prescribed FLEET to drink at home. It was very salty and i drank it at home and i threw up another 5 times.

I waited a couple of weeks thinking it might go away but it didnt. I was experiencing major gas, pain on the left side of my stomach, constipation, burping and when i did burp there was a sour liquid that came up which then quickly when back down. When i had gas it was for a long period of time maybe 2 minutes and was very loud and felt like i had to go to the bathroom and nothing ever came out into the stool. Also noticed some red when i was finished on the stool as well as gell like stuff in the water.

I then decided to try the local clinic. I told the doctor that i had pain on the left side of my stomach. He then took his hands and dug deep into my stomach and i felt the pain get even worse. He gave me Nexium for about a month but this did not help and made matters worse.

A month later I then went to another Emergency room. I saw a doctor and once again took my blood tests and everything came back fine. I told him my symptoms such as pain on the left side i pointed it to him, constipation, gas, bloating. He said it might be an ulcer but we wont know for sure until further tests are conducted. He schduled me for an ultra sound which went good and to see a gastro specialist. He also gave me Pantaloc which helped a lot in letting me eat and eased the symptoms a bit. I took the pantaloc for about a month.

I saw the gastro specialist and told him my symptoms. He said that i ate something that was really bad and it will get better with time. He did not put a camera in my stomach or anything like that. He gave me more pantaloc 6 weeks worth and told me to come back in 4 weeks. So i went back today which is October 17 2006. And now its been 6 months going on to 7 in november. He had taken more blood tests from the previous appointment and all came back normal. This time he said he wanted stool samples to check for pesticides and to bring them back to the lab and take another apointment for a follow up and that is where it ended.

So far in the past 6 months i havnt eaten much. Ive lost 12 pounds and im down to 105 lbs. Im 23 years old if that is of any importance. Im still experiencing bloating...constipation...also noise like grr grrr and really loud as well as gas and the pain on the left side.

If anyone knows anything let me know im wiling to try or any suggestions it will greatly be appreciated.

You need to insist on a scope. That is the only way they can really determine what is going on down there.

I had one done last week they give you sleepy drugs and before you know it its over. They found nothing wrong with me just attributed my symptoms to anxiety. All I can say is anxiety my A**.

I agree. Seek another opinion and have the endoscopy done. Sounds like it could be an ulcer or gastritis. I have gastritis and experience pain on my left side, nausea, acid reflux, bloating, gas. I had the endoscopy done which I was not asleep for (I'm guessing they do things differently in Canada) but it wasn't a bad experience at all--would do it again if I had to.

Thank you so much for your advice it is greatly appreciated. However i have been the to specialist twice and he said there is no need to have an endoscopy. I do have an appointment with another specialist but on november 17. So is there anything i can do? And will this get worse beyond the point where they cant do anything to help me such as find anything because its been to long. I hope my question doesnt sound silly...lol.
