Hello everyone...
For several years I have suffered from Fibro and aside from trying to live a healthy lifestyle, I use pain medication to control my pain. For a long time I had a problem either finding a doctor who would believe in my pain or one to prescribe me the right medication. I also no longer have medical insurance so that makes matters worse.
I finally found a doctor here in Dallas who is a pain specialist who knows how much pain we fibro patients have and he takes good care of me. He is such a caring doctor that he is opening an after hours clinic just for people like us. I am so happy with him!! I want to share this with all of you in the Dallas area who are looking for a good fibro pain doctor.

I live in Dallas and just spoke with one of the doctors opening up this new clinic you recommended. He told me that he, too, had fibromyalgia and completely believed in all the symptoms and pain that go along with it. I swear I nearly cried on the phone! I have been to neurologists, rheumatologists, and even other pain specialists and have been led to believe all these doctors think fibromyaliga is a "trash can" diagnosis. I am very excited to meet the staff at this clinic and feel assured I will be treated with dignity :)

Hi Karen.
I've been around the block with this Fibro for a long time now and know exactly what you mean about doctors who don't believe in it. I personally feel that those "doctors" are affraid of treating Fibro because of the types of medications that are used for Fibro treatment. If they lived just one day, especially a bad day, of a Fibro patient's life, they would understand!

You will just love these doctors. They are not the stuck-up, know more than you types. Very knowledgable, caring, but down to earth. I just can't tell you how pleased I am with them. Dr. Adam is the best!! He is the one who make the most difference for me. He was a military special forces guy before he went into medicine. At first I was like, ut oh, another hard *** doctor but as soon as we spoke, I realized how good he was. He is the one I prefer. Five minutes with him seems like an hour because he actually listens, imagine that!

I'm so excited about this new clinic. I have been to several pain management doctors who were real @%$holes and treated me like I was a nut. I even made an appt with psychiatrist to make sure I wasn't crazy! (I'm perfectly sane :) ) I cannot wait until they open.....just after talking to Dr. Adam I felt more hope for relief and a chance to get back to a normal life (I'm a mom of 2 young kids and used to be very active in the community) than I have in a long time. I've been telling everyone I know w/ fibro and migraines about their practice :)
