I know its not good! Please give me an answer!!!! Alex Kathrin 08-13-2002, 02:26 PM One thing that I know is that not having your period means your body is going through hormonal changes similar to menopause, with less estrogen, which affects bone density. This may mean you may be at higher risk for osteoroporosis later. Kathrin andreaphilip3 08-13-2002, 02:46 PM see a dr asap, its called ammenorrhea. Crazy7058 08-13-2002, 03:02 PM I'm seeing a nutrionist and see I'm anorexic for almost 8 months now and I'm eating more and I have stopped exercising totally and its not starting again! I'm starting to get really worried! Alex youneeak 08-13-2002, 03:11 PM Hi alex! I know about the fear it causes, I have also lost my period, I haven't had one since January...it's a scary thing. You SHOULD see a dr. asap, like others have suggested. I honestly don't know what damage is causes, but I know it's serious. I haven't told anybody about my ED, so going to a doctor is still scary. We're all doing such harm to our bodies. Let us know how you're doing! And it's great to hear that you're starting to eat again! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bouncing.gif that's a big step, a hard hard FIRST step! I admire your courage!!! NEVER GIVE UP ~sarah~ homecomingqueen 08-13-2002, 11:27 PM Last winter I didn't have my period for about 6 months. When i started eating again it came back, its been about six months and now its regular. Still seeing a dr is a good idea. God Bless |
