HI there.
I lost my period i think for a few years, but once i started eating properly and gained a little weight (i was still thin, so don't worry, you don't have to gain a ton) i got it back. also, my sister lost it for i think about 6 years, but got it back and had two kids.
so don't worry. unless there is something else going on, it wil come back once there is enough fat on your body. But, try to aprroach that goal now, rather than later. There is quite a bit of research showing a connection between missed periods and osteoperosis, which i have severly and i'm only 36
hope this helps,
nakk

I have lost my period too! I haven't had it since December so like almost 8 months now. I really want to start having it again too, but I can't get myself to eat enough to get it back! I'm really scared because I know its damaging my body and I don't want to get osteoperosis!

Hi,
I lost my peroids for 2 years but when I regained weight they came back. I also lost them again breifly when bulimic and not so thin but I think it was more due to stress. Keep having tests because you may be low on nutrients also which can cause further problems.

I lost my period for about a year because I was underweight. So the doctor put me on birth control. It brought my period back and it made it regular and light. I am still on it even though I've gained over twenty pounds and my body gets it on it's own. I think you might want to look into your birth control options. Missing your period even three times is very bad. Your bones suffer and so does your chances of not being able to have kids in the future. Please get it taken care of!
