Hi everyone, thank you all upfront for the information posted. Questions, I have been dealing with a swollen lymph node in the lower part of my ear lobe and by my jawline for about 6 months, on my left side. Went to an ENT who told me it was a partiod gland tumor, he did 2 fine needle aspirations and found nothing. The reason he did 2 is because the 1st came back, not saying it was a tumor. Then he did a 2nd one. At the time, I was put on antibotics and thought I was fine, per the ENT. The lump has not gone down at all and then I noticed another one on the right side in the same area as the left, that started about 3 months ago. I went to another DR, who suggested a CT and from that we found out that the lymph nodes are swollen, not my partiod gland. One is 1.2cm and the other is 1.1cm. I am waiting to get a biospy done and find out the results. The nodes don't hurt, except after I drink alcohol (sometimes) but since I have had the CT done (Sept 9) I have been feeling extremely fatigued and have bouts of nausea. Any same symptoms for anyone? I don't have nightsweats. I was wondering do the classic B symptoms happen all at once typically or over a period of time? Thank you and any advice would be great!

I was diagnosed at Stage IV for Non Hodgkins, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia... and never had B-symptoms. I think it varies from person to person.

Thank you for answering. How did you find out Non-Hodgkins? Thank you again. God bless!

Check the symptoms for Hodgkins. I think I read somewhere about alcohol, pain and Hodgkins. I guess the only way really to know for sure is to have a biopsy. You might not have symptoms if its early. I am opting for a bone marrow test instead of the biopsy. My dr. wants to do the chest and abdomen cat scan first to see what other nodes might be enlarged and then go from there. But, it seems to make sense to do a bone marrow test first rather than do the node extraction and then have to do the bone marrow test afterward.

Kinda sounds like what happened to me. With the salivary glands. Went to ENT and he said nope enlarged lymph nodes. Had Ct with contrast right away. Biospy done soon after.
Well I have CLL like Debbie, but I have alot of bone marrow involvement. It was pack with lympocytes so I wasn't making my own red blood cells.
So I was fatigue from that but I don't think I was ever sick. Maybe from nerves.
Please get a biospy excision, not fine needle. Alot with CLL they don't do nothing just watch and wait. Depending on bloodwork.
Hi Debbie are you back from your road trip? Missed you on the boards.
Take care

Hi Faith
I had very few symptoms, even the fatigue came on so gradually I thought everyone felt like that when they hit their 30s. It's not until now (a year on) I feel full of enery that I realise how tired I actually was!
I didn't have any other symptoms except swollen nodes that - thinking back, did hurt when I had alcohol!!
If it does turn out to be Hodgkins try not to worry - it is soooo cureable these days! My mum works in a hospital and all her colleagues said it was the best kind of C to get !!??( I know it sounds strange for someone to say that, but if you look at the medical data, it's true!)
Good luck
Take care of yourself and keep smiling - it really does help, trust me:)
