Any help diagnosing what this could be would be very help!

I had a "rash" on the head of my penis about a months ago that seemed like a patch of dry skin. It was bright red and a little dry, but no bumps or lesions, no puss, no pain and it was not itchy...it just looked bad. I just applied applied neosporne and some moisturizer and after a little over a week it faded away and I thought all was well.

Fast forward a month and the the same "rash" is back on the same exact spot on my penis. It is just as red as last time and it seems a little dry, but there is no pain or itichieness (in fact, if i didn't look at it i wouldnt know anything was wrong). I am concerned now that it has shown up again.

After doing some independent research I think this might be a case of hpv or genitial warts. Does anyone know if I might be right? As i mentioned, it is a bright red, smallish splotch on the head of my penis, that does not hurt or have any abomornal feeling, but is slightly dry to the touch.

Any opinions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on scheduling an apointment with my dermatolgist, but it might be a week or so before I can get it and i would like to have some peace of mind before then.

This sounds like a yeast infection. You and your partner should get checked.

A yeast infection? I always thought that would be itchy and cause significant discomfert, which I have not had. If it is a yeast infection, is there any over the counter treatment that would work? I am circumsized as well if that informaiton would help.

anything over the counter for womens' yeast, should work fine for you and your mate.
