Hi friends,;)

It is me, Donna Sue again. Well, I have now as of today been on Prozac a month. I am starting to feel a tiny bit better, not allot, should I give it more time?:blob_fire

My doctor had me at 20 mgs. now 40mgs. I have severe anxiety while driving, and terrified of bridges. I am also taking 1mg. of Klonplin two times a day. My doctor will NOT prescribe Xaxan, or any other Benzo's, and says I should go see a doctor who handles this.

What would you do? Give it more time? It has been a month today.

:jester: Major question?????? Has anyone lost weight while on this, I have noticed some weightloss.......Pls. advise.

Sometimes it takes 6 weeks to feel the most of a drug. I would hang in for another 2 weeks. Absolutly go to a doctor that specializes in Anxiety/panic. They will help you more than a primary dr. I actually see both. It is always good to run things by your PCP once you have been advised by the other dr. Just to inform them of what you are taking etc.

Taking SSRI's are frustrating sometimes because it takes a while for them to kick in. Even when you change a dose it takes another 6 weeks for that to kick in fully.

And yes i did lose weight when on the prozac... at the time, it was a good thing!

Donna Sue, I took Prozac a few years ago, it takes about 5-6 weeks to work, but after that I felt pretty good. I am different than the rest of you,. I gained weight, not a good thing of course. I just started buspar 3 days agok, so far the only thing that I notice is I get really tired after I take it. This too takes time to work. Hope everything goes well, take care. Hang tough!!!!!:wave:
