hi

i have a bad cough ive had it for a few weeks now.its preety bad and i end up being sick bringing up what i last ate or drank.i do not smoke although i am over weight i have a tingley cough from the brest bone and up. my patyner keeps trying to get me to see a doctor but i thought id look it up first have you any ideas my partner is very worried.:dizzy:

please help

Hope it isn't whooping cough, this has been making a comeback. You definitely need to see a doctor for this!

Have you started taking a new medication recently? Could be a side effect of new med.

I'm with Sannah: make an appointment to see your doc.

Sounds exactly like "laryngopharyngeal reflux" (LPR) . Do a search on it.

Treatment is 2 doses a day of a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI).

You can get PPIs from your PCP. If you have cough-variant reflux like this, you must must must take 2 doses a day of the PPI. 1 dose is only for people with basic heartburn.

PPIs:
Nexium
Aciphex
Prevacid
Protonix
Zegerid

Nexium and Aciphex work the best.
