i posted the other day about a friend of mine who has been a full blown addict since he was 16 years old.in the end he was taking lorcet 10,soma,xanbars,suboxone,methadone,smoki ng weed, crack and drinking. that has been going on for about a year[combination of everything]. he passed away wednesday.i tried everyday to talk to him.his family talked to him everyday, but it seems that the more we tried to help, the more he pulled away.it is sad to say, but he lived his life the way he wanted, loaded every single day, and he died the way he wanted, loaded and in his sleep.i have been best friends with him for 20 years and my husband grew up with him. he is actually the one who introduced my husband and i, and for that i am very grateful.even though we had no desire to be around him b/c we could see what he was doing to himself,it still hurts.we are going to miss him very much.i would just like to say to anyone who is dealing with an addict, do everything in your power to try to get them help.my friend resisted the help everyone tried to give him and now he is no longer with us.i would like to ask everyone to say prayers for him and hope that he is in a better place.they are burying him tomorrow and i know going to his funeral is going to hurt like hell.i knew this was going to happen but it is still a shock.please pray for him
