View Full Version : Digestive problem: help needed

Hey people,

I've been having various digestive/bowel problems for nearly two weeks now. Seen a Doctor, got told it wasn't life-threatening and should wait and see, and am going back soon. In the meantime, I have a bunch of symptoms, I don't know if they're even all related, and I'd like some pointers as to what it could be:

- A 'clogged' feeling in the throat. Not a pain, nor a cough, but a feeling almost of blockage, making the throat dry, and at times making swallowing difficult. This symptom's been going on for a month now; it comes and goes.

- Abdominal pain. I've had pain around the belly button for nearly two weeks. It's got a little better in the past few days, but it was constant and nasty.

- Massive amounts of gas.

- Bloated feeling in the stomach. Even when there's no pain it can feel like it's being 'puffed out' in a not particularly pleasant way.

- Vomited once a few nights ago. Hasn't happened since.

- And the latest symptom (disclaimer: not very pleasant)...kind of slimy, thin, and light-coloured stool as of today.

Any help on this would be awesome and much appreciated.

Hi,If your still having pain go back to your doctors again.
I have been having pain under my ribs that make me cry most day for 9 months, I feel weak, ill, have pain above belly button.
I have been to the Doctors about 100 times in the last 9 months and I am sitill trying to find out what is going on, I do get scared as the pain is so bad on some days that I think the worse.

I hope you find out what going on with you !!

take care...Mandy

A lot of your symptoms go along with Irritable Bowel Disease, ask your doctor for a Promethius Blood test and this will either rule it out, or show you that you could have it. Other than that, find a GI and schedule an EGD and colonoscopy.
