Hello,
I had always had very regular periods pretty much since I started menstrating (I am 20 now) But ever since I have started having sex I find that things are getting all out of whack, can sex actually affect menstrul cycles at all, or am I imagining it and it is actually something else, I am a university student, so nperhaps it is the stress...it is just really annoying and I want to figure this out and get regular again.
Thanks

Apparently it's believed that sex is nothing related to your menstrual cycle, and that it could be absolutely anything affecting it. Stress can definitely affect the way your periods are. It could also be anything to do with weight gain, diabetes, or thyroid or pituitary gland problems. Wait to see if it all settles down, if it doesn't you could always see your doctor. They may check you over, and may prescribe birth control pills to regulate the cycle.
Good luck!
