Hi, I have anxiety and my psychologist told me I should see a doctor and make sure there isn't anything wrong physically. I started to get nervous about there something actually being wrong.
So now I want to make sure I'm perfectly fine and rule out any health problems. I haven't been to a doctor in probably 8 years... so I'm not sure of all the things I need to get checked out. I know there's the physical, but that doesn't automatically rule out everything does it?
I'm 20 years old, by the way.

Just tell the doctor that you haven't been seen by a physician in 8 years, and ask for any necessary lab work, etc. Granted, a physical exam can't rule out EVERYTHING, but if you don't have symptoms of a problem the physician can't know to test for it.
