Hi I have a problem.I have an ingrown nail big toe right foot.I left it till it got infected unfortunatly and went to my doctor 9th oct.I was given flucloxocillin 500mg 4 x daily for one week.I went back for check up 16th oct and was reffered to see a doctor who could remove it.The infection had cleared.I saw him tues 17th oct and he could fit me in end of November for whole nail removal.

The infection started again Fri 20th Oct and last night it became hot and red emitting pus.The redness has now spread up my toe and my whole foot and up to below my knee is in agony .Its aching like mad and painkillers wont ease it Co-codamol 30/500mg. What should I do can it wait till they can fit me in at the doctors?

Go directly to either the emergency room or urgent care, that infection is very dangerous traveling up your leg, don't wait until it reaches your heart it will be too late.
