View Full Version : I finally got some answers I have LOR (Low Ovarian Reserve)

Hi everyone sorry I haven't been posting but I have been very sad thinking about not being able to have a second biological child. My RE said that I have low ovarian reserve, which means my body is not producing anymore eggs at 30 years old. I was so scared, sad, angry to say the least  .
After speaking with my husband we have decided to try and come up with the money to do egg donation from other women. My RE said there is a 50% chance it would work and the coordinator of the egg donation center said it was higher then that. My RE said this is my only option besides adoption and DH does not want to adopt. So that's where we are at right know. I may have to wait until February for a donor and to get the money, which is expensive. I feel okay with it but will need some therapy too. Any advice would be great. Good luck to everyone in there 2ww. Baby dust to you all. Kim.

Fila,

I'm so sorry you have been diagnosed with LOR. I was told I may have borderline/early LOR, but it has not proved an issue yet, as my follicles have been developing on the medication. Is your FSH high? Is that what diagnosed you or did you try meds and they didn't stimulate you? If it is the FSH, you may want to read the book Inconceivable by Julie Indichova. She wrote this book from her own experience of having a very high FSH level and was told by multiple doctors that she could not have another biological child...she was told only with egg donor. To make a long story short, she ended up seeing her FSH levels go down with some diet changes and relaxation and excercise protocols. I'm sure this doesn't work for everyone certainly, but it really is amazing to read her story. :)

Good luck to you...baby dust with whatever you decide to do next year.

Welcome back. I am sorry for your bad news but excited for you that you are going for the big guns. I feel like everything will turn out wonderful for you in the end. Keep us posted on your cycles. When do you get to start looking at donors? I have you and Dh in my prayers
good Luck!

My body reacted well the first time I used the injections. The second no response and the third they wouldn't even let me start b/c FSH was a 48 (WOW).

Pennie and Heynack, I can start to look at donors now but I need to make sure I can come up with the money first. RE also told me to call him if AF stops for 3 months that means the big change had already occurred. Thanks for keeping me in your prayers and you will also be in mine. Thanks for the book idea I'll look for it on Barnes and Nobles.

Thanks again.
