Hello to all
Well i previously posted a message about my pain in my lower left side which has been going on since May 1, 2006.
I went to the ER once again last night because i was experiencing massive gas and the pain was there was seriously acting up. They took more blood tests and the results came back fine also took a urine test and checked for blood in the stool and everything was fine.
Here are my symtoms. A lot of gas, A little bloating. Constipation no diarrea unless i drink prune juice. One doctor once physically took his hands and pushed deep inside my left side and i felt the pain even more. The pain is on the far lower left side more on the abs. I feel all the gas and pain building up on the left lower side. I got the urge to throw up sometimes. I lost 14 pounds so far. I also have the urge to go to the bathroom everytime i eat something. My bowl movements are either thin and long and in U shape. Or thin and small or in big bulks and are thick. The color is light brown. I once noticed one side was darker than the other. I got gas and there is a pretty nasty smell to it and even on the bowl movements.
The ER doctor from last night told me i might have Irritable bowl syndrome referred me to see an abdominal specialist. He also said that im chronically ill. A couple of months back i saw another ER doctor and he said it might be an ulcer and gave me pantaloc. He also referred me to a GI specialist and wrote on the paper to check for Pylori. Now this GI specialist doesnt listen to me and keeps on telling me i ate something really bad. I have seen him twice and all he said this is only a follow up to see how im doing. And then in 5 minutes im out. He asked for stool samples to check for pesticides. He said things like this take time to heal and he said the symptoms are normal. I said im always constipated and he said "so". I am not joking he actually said that. But he hasnt done anything a normal medical doctor hasnt done which is alarming me at this point. Now this is all at the same hospital.
I made my way to another Emergency room because i got fed up of the previous hospital and by accident i told them i have seen a specialist and he didnt do anything. That doctor then told me to go back and ask him to put a camera in my stomach.
So im writing again to ask for advice. I live in montreal so if anyone living in montreal is reading this and has any suggestions or doctors or good hospitals let me know. I dont know what to do anymore because they keep on making me wait and telling me im fine. But in fact im not. Do i go back and demand for a scope or colonoscopy. Or do i really have bowl syndrome. Apart from this i have never had any problems with my health.

Have you had a CT Scan? You could have diverticulitis!

I would find a way go see a different specialist! You probably need a CT scan and maybe a colonoscopy.

Hi Dee: If you haven't had them, the other posters were right on the money. I have severe pain in the lower left quadrant (as they refer to it) and I had (you need these also) a CT Scan, Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and a Barium Folo through. These should show something, if there's a problem.
I ended up being diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and now, eight years later, I'm on SSD and a CP patient. I take pain meds daily, just to cope with the pain. On top of the IBS, I had lung syrgery four years ago for the removal of a non-malignant tumor in the upper lobe of the left lung. They had to remove two ribs during surgery, so now I have chest wall chronic pain as well.
Find a good GI doc and get some tests done, so you know what's going on
