Hi All, new to boards but looks a great place to find info.

My Dad had a brain bleed last christmas and through the coiling procedure to stop the bleed, had a stroke.

He has been making excellent recovery pysichally and the only real issue he has is his speach. As you can imagine he has had his down days but relatively has been in great spirits. the last week he has been very down, his head is bowed and he keeps closing his eyes. He says he just feels like somthing is over him. we have had him thoroughly checked out and there seems to be mothing wrong. Are guess now is that depression is setting in which we are aware is common in the first year and are discussing this with his doc. gladly, for the last day or so he seems to be coming back into himself.

funny thing is his speech which he was having problems with has quite impressively improved. He has started completeing full sentances and names are no longer a problem for him.

has anyone else heard of this. its kinda like his brain went onto half speed whilst it repaired something for the last week and now its doen it its getting back to normal.

sound strang bit thought Id post to see what people think.

Thanks for the help

Dave
