View Full Version : Paper thin skin and prostate cancer?

My father has prostate cancer but since his diagnosis, he has developed very very thin skin. He bleeds from a scratch! I have asked him what the doctor says about this and he hasn't discussed it with the doctor. (don't ask me why, I have no clue.....)

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Is it a side effect of the Hormone Thereapy? Perhaps it is unrelated altogether. I didn't know if maybe there was some help for it.

My Dad has the same thing, so it must be some kind of side effect, although I know quite a few older people that have the same problem. The doctor did give him a prescription for something he could spray on his arms that would immediately stop the bleeding, but that's about all he could do for him.

As we become older our skin becomes thin.
This problem can get worse with heart medications, asprin etc.
Something to look at if any of these medications are being used.
