View Full Version : unique phimosis/foreskin problem?

I have phimosis, my foreskin is very tight and does not retract past the head when my penis is erect or flaccid. I am not interested in penetrative sex and so unlike apparently a number of men with phimosis, I don't have any problems with that.

My problem is that the tightness of my foreskin makes it uncomfortable to sit down for long periods, especially in confined spaces like at a desk or in an airline seat. I can just feel the skin and nerve endings all kind of uncomfortably sticking together and bunching up in a small confined space. Perhaps it is the nerve endings but it also produces a less uncomfortable, but still noticeable, nerve-type feeling in other parts of my body. Wearing different types of underwear eg looser doesn't help. Despite extensive searches online, I have not come across anyone mentioning this. Yet it is a frequent source of discomfort for me. The only thing I have found that takes away the tight feeling is oral sex (although the tightness returns in two weeks or so) and again--to my surprise--I have not found any mention of this anywhere online.

I'm confused about why this particular problem I have and (temporary) solution (which is only semi-satisfactory because it only feels better for a while) of which I am aware are not discussed. Am I the only one who has this problem--and solution?

I have never heard of the symptoms and partial relief mechanisim that you describe. I suggest that you try my stretching instructions at the top of this board but first I would try some over-the-counter fungal/yeast treatment from a pharmacy (perhaps you can even find a gay-friendly one on Dupont Circle where you can discuss your problem properly;) ). A thrush (yeast) infection is the only thing I can think of that might be causing your particular problems. You definitely should not try and stretch with any kind of infection.
Of course some will advise you to get cut and a doctor in DC is likely to want to do that as a first option. It should only be a last resort and I am sure you don't want to lose the good things about your foreskin if stretching will cure the problem. Even with tight phimosis you are likely to get significant improvement faster than healing from circumcision.

Thanks for that. It don't think it can be a yeast infection or thrush because I've had the same feeling for as long as I can remember, like 20 years. It's like I can really feel the tightness. Other uncircumcised and circumcised men have said how tight it looks and it is really a source of discomfort that makes it hard to physically relax--unless of course I've recently had oral sex. I enjoy that too much to consider getting cut, and am just uncomfortable with the whole idea of circumcision.

I can't be the only person out there who has experienced this, can I?
