Because of my schedule, I don't have my dinner until almost immediately before sleep. Usually I finish no more than an hour before I hit the sack. I've been doing this for years.

I have heard that eating so close to bedtime is unhealthy, I haven't experienced anything bad yet, but does anyone know what health problems can arise? Can anyone provide any links to any articles addressing the issue?

thank you

I don't know if I can help you but I have heard that your stomach needs about 3 hours before sleep after eating. I don't know of any health issues that eating to soon before sleep can cause but I know that the food you eat can upset your stomach and I know personally if I eat to soon before bed that I don't sleep well. You might try a search on the internet to see if you can come up with any actual health problems this can cause. Let me know if you hear anything I am curious.
Hope this helps!
I have found a couple of issues. Hernias and Acid Reflux
