I've been reading some of the posts and wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm 29, DH is 34, we've been TTC for 7yrs. I've been diagnosed w/endo, pcos and chronic anovulation. Fertility treatments were stressing me out so much a few yrs back I decided to take what ended up being a very long break from them. DH and I have talked and decided to try some more treatments so I'll be going back to RE soon.

I wish I had known about forums such as this one a long time ago. Most of my friends never had trouble conceiving and the few who did were pregnant after only a few treatments. I think it's a positive thing to be able to come here and talk to people from time to time who really understand. Best wishes to everyone!

Hi emily! Welcome to the board. I think you'll love this place, I know I do. I think this board is so helpful and inspirational. And there are lots of success stories, which is wonderful to see people attain what they've been trying to achieve for so long. It gives me hope.
Good luck with restarting fertility treatments. I'm sure you're excited, yet nervous. But it's so worth it in the end, isn't it?

Thanks for the welcome! DH and I have been together 10yrs, I wonder alot of times if we are too set in our ways and about all the changes having a baby would bring, I can't help but think they would be positive changes though.
I am really nervous about restarting treatments. I know even if they aren't successful I will be able to look back when I'm older and know I did everything I could. I'm looking forward to talking to you all!

Emily,

We had a wonderful pair of RE here in Mobile. Who do you use? We used Koulianos/Inge. They have alot of options for their patients including eggshare (where two couples share the financial risk of IVF, one couple stims for eggs and the other uses half of the donated eggs). They are fantastic and their office staff is just as wonderful.

Hi Amy

I'm actually in the far NE part of Al, almost in TN. I use HRM (Huntsville Reproductive Medicine). That sounds really interesting about the eggshare, I was going to ask the re about egg donation the next time I go. I know it would probably be $$$ but it's something I want to learn more about. I have regular periods but have never ovulated that anyone knows of so if I can't be made to ovulate I would like to try something like egg donation as the next step. Good luck to you! em
