Hello Ashley,
I can't say I can really help you from being scared, but I can say I'm in the same boat for the 30th. I have never had one either, but I have read about them.
Are they going to give you anything? I go to Lombardi Cancer Center in Wash. DC and they do give demerol and valium, but they say not enough to put you to sleep. Perhaps they will give you something or have you asked already? I sure wish you well and hope you can get something to help! I am scared too, the unknown is scarey. Much luck!

Sorry it took a while to answer your post, my computer was broken. Anyway, I have had a bone marrow and they are not to bad. I had mine in a doctors office they numb the area that they are going to take the bone marrow from and then they take the bone marrow. It does not take long at all and I was able to drive myself home after.
Let me know how it goes!
I hope this helps and wish you the best!
