As I was just randomly scratching my head, I felt something in my hair. At first I thought it was a bug, and when you feel something by your scalp (zit, etc) it FEELS 10 times bigger than what it really is. So I pulled on it, and it kinda hurt, once I got it out I looked at it and was confused. Along with pulling out a piece of hair which seems to be attached to this, I figured it's not a bug. It looks like a tear drop shape at the base, and black....then it has a white (almost looks like a root) hard curved thing that looks like a small cat claw, but thinner and goes to a point. It had little blood on the very end where it came out of my head/scalp. I wanna say the whole thing is about 1/8 inch long approx. I'm assuming the white clawlike thing was sticking out of my scalp seeing as the other end had a blood on it, like it was pulled from a hair folicle? I kept it because I was going to call the doctor on it but I thought I'd give this msg board a try first. My husband says it looks like a fang, that really made me feel better
I noticed on my dark blue flannel pillow case that there was quite a bit of flakes from my head as well.
thanks for any input!

Best take it to a doctor and see what he/she says.
If it was dug into your scalp, there could be a chance that it was a tick. If youre not sure what they are, type 'tick' into google. Just a thought, dont take my word for it. All the best
