Hi there:
Well, my appt. is on Monday--I'm very excited! (and nervous) Mainly b/c I don't know if he'll be able to help me or not. But, my husband and I are making a weekend of it in Sacramento--so that should be fun anyways.
The main thing that is bothering me right now (besides my drunk head feeling), is the terrible aching pain in my legs--they hurt so bad I just wanna cry all of the time. I don't know if that is a fibro symptom or not, some say yes, some say no. I have a problem of reading other boards on here, and if I see leg pain under something else--I get afraid I have that :confused:
I'm crazy, I know. How did your appt. go with him? Is he really friendly?
How long after you started the meds he put you on did you start to feel some improvement?

:wave: HI ....I think he is the most AWESOME doctor!!! I truly do.....this man is going to KNOCK THE ROOF OFF OF THIS STUFF!!!! Monday night he is holding a seminar in Sacramento on his findings....TO ALL THE DOCTORS IN THAT AREA!!! Oh my gosh!! I am soooooo thrilled about it...so many conditions are going to be cured in just a few years...(I;m thinking anyway)....Dr. Powell has done soooooo much research on why we gain weight when sick with bacterias...I am sure he will explaing it to you...I try to understand....but it was my first time for listening to that one...okay.....
So when you go Monday...ask for what I left you there....Annie or Kathy will give it to you....:) Now what I found out today also is...after you first appt...most of the visits can then be done by phone:) Yeah!!!! So I know that will help you out alot....I told him you were coiming from Arizona....he said he would take real good care of you...and I told him I know he will that is why I suggested you come....
So since I hadn't been in over a year....my last visit I had a bunch of blood work done...and seems as though my yucky Epstein Barr and Cytomglovirus have flared back up...he said they are sooooo high they're off of the chart....:eek: So I am starting on Vantrex...as soon as I get my prescription filled...also something else ummm....some kind of prescription for some ursodiol I will look that up and learn more...but it is some type of salt:confused: that the body is low in so you take it and it helps clean the crap out of the liver...needles to say it should help me lose some weight he said....YEAH!!! Just one of my problems there...also....
My thyroid is fine...BUT the t-3 is low...so will take that as soon as the prescription is filled...and I start also on zitromax....next month after we see how I did getting these viruses back under control...and some antibiotics in me...and the supplements...we'll forge ahead...:)
He also feels that these GOOSE EGGS on my head are bacteria(s) and Virus(s)...so hopefully if we can get them gone I will be such a happppppyyyyyy camper.....

Just want you to know I have gone maybe like 20 being sick...lyme...virues's Chylmaidia Pnuemina...and 2 doctors adn I mean ONLY two doctors knew what to do for me....I thought lyme was my only problem until I went to Dr. Powell...now it's time to treat the rest...he told me to have faith in him...AND I SURELY DO!
the leg problems that I had got better...and the shakes and allllllll of the rest...I would imagine that we all react differently to treatments...I would give yourself time ..there is alot you need to unravel...know what I mean...but I would think atleast by Feb...you should start seeing some improvement...if not before...then there is the letting go of the diagnoises of the many of 100 doctors...they don't know what they are talking about...
So just start over square one with Dr. Powell...you'll be happy you did...Say I see someone else is here on the board...Megan...she goes to Dr. Powell also...will start a new Thread and see how she is doing...Just saw her on here this morning....

Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and support, and for mentioning me to him. Did you tell him about the healthboards? Do you take a lot of antibiotics and supplements?
My only worry is that after he does all of the testing--nothing will show up and he won't be able to help me, but I'm trying to think positive.
